I don't think I'll be able to find a better example of EDC if I tried

Bought this knife on sale although I'd gladly pay full price for it. This knife never leaves my side. It is the perfect size for everything I need. Super sharp, easy to sharpen, holds an edge. G10 is super grippy.

I don't think I'll ever be getting rid of this one.

Great

So far this has been perfect for miscellaneous utility type tasks around the house. Really like the small size, great grip, and easy action. Very sharp out of the box. I'd recommend to anybody!

Who needs a fidget spinner?

My first Kizer, it was on a crazy promotion sale, so what the heck. Now it's in my hands every day. I didn't know I needed a fidget toy, but this is fun to have while on hours of video conferences. The ball bearing hinge is elegant, and if I'm not mistaken it feels like a magnetic pin snaps it closed. Nicely sharp out of the box, but not ridiculous. Blade is BEEFY. B E E F Y.

Phenomenal for the price

Perfect pocket size, the action is fast and satisfying, and the edge just need a little honing to make it razor sharp. All this for $69!

I love It!

Great blade shape, grippy G-10 scales and its snappy. Going for the full sized next time!

...you don't really need one but just try giving it up once it's in your hands.
As fun as everyone says. If you fidget, you must get it.

Cool knife for $44

Bought on sale for knife day. I have been wanting a cleaver blade in a small package. This fit the bill perfectly. Nice sharp blade. Takes a good amount of pressure to deploy. G10 is pretty smooth and the pocket clip is the stiffest I have ever seen. It takes 2 hands to get on my pocket. Cool little novelty knife for the price I paid.

Super clean action!

Really clean action to this knife, really like the blade style and overall build as well. Great hand feel and great pocket fit.

This knife is super cool and useful too. Lightweight fits in the nugget pocket on the right side of the jeans. Great backup blade. Worth every penny. Super sharp and smooth.

Pros
THE SOUND IT MAKES WHEN YOU OPEN IT
Super sharp smooth 154cm
Nice pocket clip carries great
Lightweight for what it is
Love the blue

Cons
I didnt get it sooner

Beautiful knife but a bit small

Steve B.

Super smooth and easy to open. I wear size xl gloves and the handle is a bit too small for me to comfortably hold the knife. It's good for opening a quick package or letter but extended use starts to make my hand cramp up. That being said my sister loves how easy it is to open and it's a great size for her small hands

Small and useful

This was my first cleaver blade folding knife. I was a little skeptical on the idea of having a small knife, but that notion went away as soon as I handled it. While the handle is small, I feel confident holding in my hands. It's very comfortable to hold and use. The profile feels large when in the pocket because of the blade shape, but I don't have any issues reaching in to my read more pocket to grab anything. This knife is in my regular EDC rotation and would only swap it out for the full size Sheepdog.

A great - "secondary" Knife

-Ok, I really like this knife. It is probably not what I'd recommend for your only pocket knife as it just isn't quite as all-rounded as others. With that said, it is so cool and still very functional. For food prep, that big cleaver in VG-10 is awesome. The tip is just precise enough to be useful. Flipping action and grip are good.
-Cons - wide in the pocket, and it's a bit read more harder than it should be to disengage the liner. Pocket clip is fine, but not great.
-Bottom line - I don't carry it as often as some, but I wouldn't sell it. I get compliments on it too as it's so funky. If you have other more standard knives and want a cool option or a "weekender." then this is a great option.

Awesome Blade Shape

Comes with a good factory edge and flipping action. I really like the color of the G10, and the steel they went with. Only think I'm not super stoked on is the liner locker. The look up is great, but its kind of hard to disengage if you've got larger sided hands. Buyers should also be aware that it is a small knife. Ive only got a three finger grip on mine, but its ok. Overall, read more great little knife from Kizer.

Great knife.

I ordered this knife because I like things that are blue in color. I also didn't have a knife in this style and have heard many good things about it. I like the size and weight of this knife. I am impressed by Kizer's quality as well. This is my first Kizer but probably won't be my last.

I ordered this on sale and had no knives in this style. Will probably never need another as this knife is a keeper. Strong, well built and very sharp. It was tight, but is loosening up nicely. Flipper and framelock work perfectly. Has become my favorite EDC knife.

Perfect size.

I love smaller sized knives. And where I work this is great to carry because this knife doesn't have a very scary vibe to it. The VG-10 steel is fun and easy to sharpen to a mirror finish.

Cool Knife

Great blade that is very useful. Good price for a quality build and not super aggressive looking. Only dislike is that it is not ambidextrous when there are no glaring reasons for it not to be.

Great knife

I'm really becoming a fan of the cleaver style knives and this is a good one. Very nice looking. Decent steel that sharpens easily and holds a good enough edge for my edc use. Fit and finish was very good and the action is great after a little breaking in. Knife came sharp. The pocket clip was really stiff when new and had to put some stuff under it for a while to loosen it up but read more is fine now.

Good EDC if you want a stouter blade

One thing to note is that I just got mine in the last release (around 1/20/19) and my steel is 154CM versus the VG-10 that is pictured and that some others have mentioned. I don't know if Kizer did that due to supply or another reason. I assume that's why BladeHQ doesn't mention any specific steel type in the description. Not a deal breaker for me, but just be aware of the apparent read more switch. Great alternative to the usual clip or drop point blade.

Best Kizer small edc!

Kizer mini sheep dog is incredible. It has a great handle to blade ratio. It's no wonder why they are always sold out. Get while you can and at a sale price of $59 it can't be beat!

Best 69 bucks you’ll spend on a eye catching EDC knife. Kizer hit a home run with this one. Just need my Damascus one to come in and I’ll forever recommend Kizer!!!

Great little novelty knife... That's also an amazing EDC!

I love this little guy! Right off the bat, yes, it does have a very small (3 finger grip) handle. But for everyday tasks this doesn't bother me much. If you need a pry-bar then buy a Medford. The blade shape is great, and the stock is very thin and a great slicer. This knife keeps an edge far better than other VG-10 blades I have.
This review wouldn't be complete without mentioning read more how incredibly amazing the action is on this little guy. Cleaned all the factory oil out, and lubed it up with some KPL and MAN is it smooth. I probably put a years worth of normal wear and tear on the bearings in one night because I just couldn't stop fidgeting with it!

Small Handle

I have a couple other Kizer knives and am a big fan of the brand. Fit and finish is always nice, the action is always good. This is no exception. I did, however, return this knife.
I didn't keep it because the handle was just too small to fill my hand and the liner lock was just a little difficult to disengage. This knife has a lot of good things going for it and if not for read more the handle size I would have kept it. Maybe I will try the full size sheep dog in the future.

OMG AWESOME
