Black?
This is the most I've spent on a folding knife. The knife functions well and feels great. The description and picture of the knife is deceiving though. The knife is actually light gray to dark gray with no discernible pattern. It actually looks terrible.
Not bad. Could be better.
The action is great once you get past the detent. It takes too much pressure on an uncomfortable flipper tab. I'm hoping it will break in over time.
The micarta is really bad, like the previous post said. Just very poorly made. With mine there is little to no texture, as you feel the resin more than the fabric over most of the surface.
Aside from those negatives it's…

a decent knife. I'll keep it as a beater and extend the life of my nicer knives.
Worth a look!
I bought this because it appealed to me, scale shape and texture, blade shape and steel. The more I carry it, the better it gets! Very pleased with the quality straight out of the box! I feel well worth the money spent!
Silk action
Bought this because I like the shape of it, and thought Micarta was neat (never had micarta scales before). What I got was way more than I expected. It is sharp and has held a damn good edge for the last 6 months of periodic use(rotates edc with 3 other knives.) BUT the BEST part is the action. It is so smooth, like butter, like glass, etc etc. And I did not have to oil or loosen… read more or clean anything to get it that way. It was so nice I bought its titanium sister the Ursa Minor, Also unbelievable knife however the Gemini is almost 1/3rd the price.
Smooth operator
Fantastic action and razor sharp...the scales are decent and feel good in the hand. This is a great knife and I’ve been nothing but pleased with Kizer knives.
Disappointing
When I first saw this being available in micarta, I jumped on it immediately. Upon opening the package, I noticed the scales were suspect. After further review, the black micarta scales felt so cheap. There was zero texture like micarta normally has, the variation in color was simply painted on it seemed, and the micarta handles felt hollow. I didn’t even bother opening the knife… read more and returned it immediately. I’ve felt scales like these before but from a cheap Amazon bugout knockoff priced for around $25. I understand that Kizer Vanguard is the budget line but for around $75 with only N690 blade steel, I expected at least adequate micarta scales. It oozed cheapness and has turned me off from the Kizer brand entirely. So disappointed.
