This friction folder takes the mechanisms from the oldest Folding Knives and combines it with MODern materials and manufacturing. From the outside, it looks like a regular friction folder, but the inside features a detent slip-joint style mechanism for added safety.Features: Lightweight titanium handle design paired with a premium S35VN blade. Tang-opener allows controlled and politically correct opening. Tip-up pocket clip for secure carry.

Thicction folder

The Kizer WPK is the first Kizer that I have personally owned, and I must admit I am impressed. There is a lot that Kizer got right with this knife, but unfortunately there are a couple substantial flaws that lead me to give the knife 4 stars. I'll briefly list the pros and cons that I have observed after owning the knife for about a week.

Pros:
- This knife is THICC, read more but for the size it really doesn't weigh too much. I like that it has some heft without being overbearing.

- Great materials & minimalist look.

- This knife is legal almost anywhere in the world.

- Pretty easy to open and close, although the detent might be too aggressive.

Cons:
-THERE IS NOT ENOUGH FRICTION. This knife runs on ball bearings. I have no clue why Kizer would make that design choice. A firction folder is supposed to have a good amount of friction in order to make opening/closing the knife safe. On multiple occasions I have broken the detent to close the knife, only to have it fling right on my finger. This is not a flipper Kizer. Its okay to use washers sometimes. I think that this is a simple fix that would make this an easy 5 star knife.

-The screws are loctited and the knife was quite difficult to to disassemble. There was no notch on the pivot screw either.
