Kizer knocked it out of the park with this one!
Kizer did an amazing job with the Theta. The knife is well designed simple and elegant. The S35 steel is razor sharp. I didn't experience a weak detent like other people the flipper tab and finger hole opens the knife with authority. I'm very impressed with the knife at $140 it's worth every penny. Get this knife you won't regret it.
Use it!!!!
Agreed with other reviews of weak detent at first but after about a week of handling the Theta it’s perfect. Zero malfunction from flipper tab and middle finger flick was always smooth.
Almost there Kizer
The good- The knife is comfortable, lightweight and ergonomic.
The bad- the detent is VERY weak. Flipper tab is difficult to use for deployment.
Middle finger flick is optimal for this model!
Also, it was off center and very gritty out of the box. It had crazy strong thread lock in the pivot. After overcoming that I took it apart, cleaned, re-lubed and reassembled. Much…

better now. Blade is centered and “drop-shut” smooth.
Excellent design and form factor
for the amount of space that this knife takes up in the pocket it packs a good amount of cutting edge. fit and finish are absolutley excellent which I've come to know as par for the course with kizer. I do wish that there was just a little more finger room as my pinky almost hangs off the end of the handle although I do have rather large hands and this isnt a large sized knife to… read more begin with. blade I'd perfectly centered but the detent is just a tad weak making using the flipper tab a bit awkward but it spydie flicks like a champ!! overall it's a killer knife and design imo
Nice design by Isham
The knife is almost a home run. My only complaint is the rather weak detent. It flips poorly unless wrist action is added but the upside is the nice blade hole for underside middle finger flick. You can use a thumb to open very easily as well which is due to the weak detent. Had this prioritized the detent for flipping, it’d be five stars.
