Compact, thin-bladed slicer

Patrick A.

I was hoping for a small, light knife with a thin blade that would slice well. And that's exactly what this is. It's very compact and I like that there's nothing sticking out. I rarely use a pocket clip and prefer knives that can just live in a pocket without getting caught on or interfering with anything else in there. It feels good in the hand and looks pretty classy for an inexpensive read more knife. The blade's very thin and just large enough for most tasks, though it's certainly not designed for dealing with any kind of heavy use. I would prefer that the blade profile weren't quite as pointy. The narrow point is useful for some things, but I know I'll end up snapping it off sooner or later.

One-handed opening with your index finger does take a little practice. It would probably be better if the jumping on the top flipper were a little more pronounced. On the other hand, it's very satisfying when it works and your hand will get used to it soon enough. You can always hold it in your other hand and use your thumb if the index finger flip doesn't work well for you, although that isn't as satisfying. It's probably the most ergonomic frame lock to close that I've encountered so far. The lock bar is nice and light, and my thumb has easy access.

Amazing Little Piece

What initially sold me on this knife was the blade shape. It was mainly an aesthetic thing, but once it was in my hands I found out how great the knife is overall for woodworking. I do a lot of whittling and this is my main detail-work knife. The thin stock and reasonable taper on it make it a slicing machine.

The only gripe I have is a small one, the action wasn't as smooth read more as I thought it'd be, however that's not gonna stop it from flying open when you need it.
I also remember seeing people open it with their index finger? I'm very dexterous with my hands and I cannot do that. It's a small note but didn't ruin the knife at all for me

Yes, at first this knife is hard to open but after a week of opening and closing it breaks in nicely. I find it is extremely easy to open once broken in. Nice slicer and beatiful green micarta... Nice EDC knife. Remember just keep opening and closing it to break it in.

Its fine.

I feel the other two guys don't get how it opens..Mine shot open like a rocket just using my index finger. If you are having trouble just use your thumb and open/close it 100 times to break it in. awesome lil gentleman's knife.

Disappointed with the design

Don't get me wrong I really like this knife but it's super hard to open and there really is no other way to open the knife but to use the flipper that only works when it wants to. I am getting ready to loosen the torx screw to see if that makes a difference but so far I can't find it. lol Guess I'll go buy another one. If that doesn't work then I really don't see carrying this knife read more much if at all.. It's the perfect size and style otherwise just not very user friendly....

Slightly disappointed

I like the size, and scales. It's not as easy to open using your index finger like on Instagram.

Justin Lundquist's similar and excellent Eidolon is the top knife in my extensive collection but over four times the cost.
